Regatta Begins Summer Season in Alaska
Signals Completion of Oceania Cruises' $50 Million Fleet Upgrade

VANCOUVER, Canada (June 10, 2014) – Oceania Cruises welcomed Regatta back to the fleet following an extensive dry dock, making it the final ship of three sister ships to undergo a massive $50 million collective refurbishment. The ship set sail on a 10-night "Majesty of Alaska" voyage, signaling the beginning of another summer season in Alaska for Oceania Cruises. Sister ships Nautica and Insignia emerged from dry dock and reentered service last month. Renovating three ships from bow to stern in a six-week time period marks the largest refurbishment program in Oceania Cruises’ history.

The multimillion-dollar makeover brought many of the interior design elements from the award-winning Marina and Riviera ships to Insignia, Nautica and Regatta while maintaining the warmth, intimacy and charm Oceania Cruises' guests cherish in the 684-passenger ships. In addition to elegant new furnishings and décor for all public rooms, suites and staterooms, Regatta added several new guest experiences, including the ever-popular Baristas coffee bar, a cook-to-order grill at Terrace Café and new outdoor recreation on the Sports Deck.

"I spent a couple days on Regatta and had a chance to experience the newly refined elegance of the ship firsthand. It's clear that we accomplished what we set out to achieve," said Kunal S. Kamlani, president of Oceania Cruises. "We wanted to ensure our guests received the same upscale cruise experience and exceptional value no matter which Oceania Cruises ship they sail, and based on early guest feedback this $50 million refurbishment is a homerun."

Notable Enhancements Include:
  • Suites & Staterooms: There are significant updates to the Owner's and Vista Suites with an all-new bathroom design that is elegant, yet contemporary in nature. The bathroom features wall-to-wall marble with a decorative inlay centerpiece, along with an expansive granite vanity that sits opposite an inviting oversized shower. The Penthouse Suites received all-new furnishings, rich upholstery and a vibrant, yet calming palette that reflects the sea, sun and sky. All staterooms were appointed with new décor elements featuring a refreshing sense of style and elegance.
  • Terrace Café: The main casual dining option on board the ship is brand new from top to bottom. A resplendent collection of new furnishings, floorings, fixtures and lighting accompanies the stunning floor-to-ceiling window views. The pièce de résistance is the cook-to-order grill featuring delicacies such as steaks, chops and lobster tail.
  • Baristas: The popular coffee bar where master baristas prepare complimentary illy brand espressos and cappuccinos throughout the day now makes its debut on Regatta. Baristas is the perfect location to relax with a beverage in one of the comfortable lounge chairs or sofas and is centrally located on deck 5, near the Grand Dining Room.
  • Upper Decks: The Sports Deck, located atop the ship, received new golf putting greens and shuffleboard courts, along with other deck games. The main pool area, ringed with luxurious sun beds, shimmers with blue and white mosaics, beautifully contrasted with rich teak decking.
  • Canyon Ranch SpaClub: The newly renovated Canyon Ranch SpaClub exudes a sense of tranquility with new décor elements including a flowing mosaic display. Inside the spa, guests will enjoy peaceful steam rooms with beautiful new tile mosaics, along with renovated changing areas.
  • Lounges: All of the ship's main lounges are refreshed and refurbished. Horizons bar features a new color palette of soothing sea blues, cocoa brown and mint, complemented by new sofa, chair and table furnishings. Martinis maintains its classic ambiance with all-new furnishings. The Regatta Lounge was completely refurbished with new carpeting and chairs, along with luxurious new fabrics and upholsteries.

The transformed Regatta sets sail this afternoon for a 10-day "Majesty of Alaska" cruise and will offer a variety of 7- 9- and 10-day cruises to America's Last Frontier throughout the season.  For more information on Oceania Cruises, visit OceaniaCruises.com, call 855-OCEANIA or contact your travel agent.

Milestone Moment: Oceania Cruises Records 1,000,000th Booking

Milestone Moment: Oceania Cruises Records 1,000,000th Booking

Miami, Florida (June 2, 2014) – Travel advisor Jenny Malka of Atlanta-based Century Travel, a Virtuoso affiliated agency, booked Oceania Cruises' one-millionth reservation earlier today. This is a significant milestone for Oceania Cruises, which was founded by cruise industry veterans Frank Del Rio and Bob Binder with three, 684-passenger ships - Insignia, Nautica and Regatta. A little more than a decade since its first voyage, the line now operates a five ship fleet following the construction of two additional ships, Marina and Riviera, which debuted in 2011 and 2012 respectively.

"I couldn't believe that I made the one-millionth booking," said Malka. "I book many of my clients on vacations with Oceania Cruises because consumers are seeking exceptional value for their vacation dollar and Oceania Cruises delivers that value while providing an upscale experience."

"Virtuoso has been a trusted partner with Oceania Cruises since its early days, so it only seems fitting that one of our affiliate agencies made this booking," shares Matthew D. Upchurch, Chairman and CEO of Virtuoso. "We're honored and very proud to be a part of this remarkable achievement."

Malka is a Toronto based travel advisor who joined Century Travel in 2002. Century Travel is based in Atlanta and was started in 1985 by Gene Lashley and Peter Lloyd. Century Travel joined the Virtuoso network in 1998 and currently has over 60 advisors throughout North America.

The ambitious mission of Oceania Cruises is to deliver "best in class" cuisine and service while in an inviting, country club-casual environment, all while exploring the world on a wide variety of unique itineraries ranging from 7-days to 180-days. An industry pioneer, Oceania Cruises was the first line to provide two-for-one cruise fares and free airfare with every booking.

"When we started the business, we envisioned a fleet of midsized ships taking people to exotic and interesting locales around the world, serving the finest cuisine at sea and providing exemplary service to our guests." explains Oceania founder Frank Del Rio. "We’re extremely proud of our efforts, and yet humbled by the loyalty of our guests who embraced this new way of cruising, and the never-ending hard work of our employees, crew and travel partners who all helped us reach this milestone."

The upper-premium line made a name for itself by offering destination-intensive sailings at a tremendous value, and ongoing partnerships with Bon Appétit and Wine Spectator, as well as a focus on all things culinary have also earned the line the unofficial reputation as the "cruise line for foodies." Oceania also made major headlines in recent years by launching two new ships - Marina and Riviera, and by announcing a massive $50 million refurbishment of Regatta, Insignia and Nautica.

Oceania Cruises headquarters opened on January 6, 2003 in Miami. The 30,277-ton, 684-guest Regatta, the company's flagship, was christened in June of that year in Barcelona, and sailed her maiden voyage on July 5 departing from Barcelona on a 14-day voyage to London. Regatta was followed by sister ships Insignia, christened March 2004 in Monte Carlo, and Nautica, christened November 2005 in Istanbul. The first new build for Oceania Cruises, Marina, debuted in February 2011, followed by sister ship Riviera in March 2012.

Barcelona, Spain (May 8, 2014) – Oceania Cruises welcomed Insignia back to the fleet this morning following a two-year charter and an extensive dry dock. Insignia is the first of three sister ships from Oceania Cruises to undergo a massive $50 million refurbishment. Nautica and Regatta are scheduled to enter dry dock and receive similar enhancements over the next four weeks. Renovating three ships from bow to stern in a six-week time period marks the largest refurbishment program in Oceania Cruises’ history.

Not only did we welcome home a family member with Insignia rejoining the fleet today, but she comes out of dry dock essentially a new ship, reflecting an even higher level of elegance and design," said Kunal S. MIAMI, April 23, 2014 – Oceania Cruises is adding some extra culinary sizzle to sailings this European season with new classes in the Bon Appétit Culinary Centers onboard Marina and Riviera and with two new Culinary Discovery Tours ashore.

Since opening on Marina in 2011, the Bon Appétit Culinary Center has offered guests the opportunity to expand their culinary skills while enjoying some good-natured fun. The culinary emphasis varies from regional specialties based on the ship's itinerary to comfort foods prepared in kitchens around the world, and classes are designed to cater to gastronomic novices and epicurean experts alike. New classes being offered on select Marina and Riviera sailings this season include:

  • Healthy Greek: Known as the birthplace of modern Mediterranean culinary trends, the island of Crete boasts some of the healthiest dietary lifestyles in the world. In this class, guests will master cooking techniques that transform seasonal ingredients into fresh, healthy and flavorful dishes.
  • Turkish Arabesque: A wonderful way to learn more about Turkey is to explore its cuisine. In this class, guests will learn about the elaborate palace kitchens, unique ingredients and culinary traditions of the Ottoman Empire while mastering recipes for delicious local delicacies.
  • Beyond Ratatouille: Inspired by Culinary Discovery Tours in Marseille and Nice, this class focuses on the magnificent cuisine of Provence. The class highlights favorite dishes of Oceania Cruises’ own Jacques Pépin as well as Guy Gedda, considered the godfather of Provençal cuisine.
  • Modern Nordic: The fresh, inventive dishes of Nordic restaurants like Noma and Geranium have changed the way the world views Nordic cuisine. Inspired by incredible destinations along the Baltic Sea, this class is devoted to favorite regional recipes ranging from hearty meat dishes to mouthwatering desserts.

In addition, Oceania Cruises is introducing two new Culinary Discovery Tours for Cork, Ireland, and Palma de Mallorca, Spain.

In Cork, guests will enjoy a day at a top culinary destination, Ballymaloe. This beautiful country estate has been converted into a world-renowned cooking school. Guests will tour the unique culinary and herb gardens, explore the free-range poultry farm and watch a cooking demonstration of a traditional Irish meal before stimulating their taste buds with seasonal dishes from the famous Cookery School Gardens.

While in Palma de Mallorca, guests will tour a bustling marketplace, sample varieties of olive oil at a country farm and savor lunch at El Faro, a restaurant perched above a horseshoe-shaped harbor where the view is only rivaled by the fine Mediterranean-inspired dishes. The new Bon Appétit Culinary Center classes as well as the new Culinary Discovery Tours will be available aboard Marina and Riviera throughout the 2014 European season. Both can be purchased in advance of the sailing or once guests board the ship, with rates starting from $69 per person. OCEANIA CRUISES LAUNCHES EXCLUSIVE ENTERTAINMENT SERIES FEATURING BROADWAY’S ORIGINAL “ANNIE”

MIAMI, April 2, 2014 – Like fine wine and epicurean cuisine, the artistic brilliance of staged theatrics on Broadway is an indulgence enjoyed by many guests sailing with Oceania Cruises. Today, the line announced a new "Life in the Theater" series for select sailings, starting with a voyage aboard Riviera on October 29, 2014, featuring stage legend Andrea McArdle - the original namesake character in "Annie" on Broadway.

"We're known industry-wide for our exquisite culinary offerings and impeccable service, but our passion for delivering an upscale cruise experience for our guests is embodied in all that we do." said Kunal S. Kamlani, the line's president. "That's why we're excited about this special series. It provides our guests with the unique opportunity to enjoy up-close and intimate encounters with notable Broadway icons, and we are thrilled to host Andrea McArdle as our first star."

Ticket holders will have access to eight special events including one cocktail party, five events of song and stories, and one private full-performance. During the sailing, there will be one performance open to all guests, but those who purchased tickets will receive preferred seating access. The package is priced at $375 per person, with limited availability, and can be purchased up until the first day of the cruise. The events will take place during the ship's Enchanting Riviera itinerary, which is a 10-day sailing departing from Athens on October 29, 2014, and calling on ports in Santorini, Greece; Ephesus, Turkey; and the Italian cities of Taormina, Amalfi, Rome and Florence before visiting Provence, France, and concluding in Monte Carlo.

"I've always loved the sea. The allure, romance, adventure, everything about it makes me feel excited and free, almost like performing on stage," shared McArdle. "So, I jumped at the chance to partner with Oceania Cruises and raise the curtain on this new creative adventure."

Andrea McArdle rocketed to stardom as Broadway's original "Annie," for which she was the youngest performer ever nominated for the Tony Award® for Best Actress in a Musical, winning both the Theatre World and Outer Critics' Circle awards for her performance. On Broadway she originated the roles of Ashley in "Starlight Express" and Margy in "State Fair" and was seen as Belle in "Beauty and the Beast" and as Fantine in "Les Misérables." On tour she starred in "Jerry's Girls," "Les Misérables," "The Wizard of Oz" and "Peter Pan." Andrea has performed in venues from Carnegie Hall to the best showrooms in Las Vegas to the MET Opera House as well as the White House.

OCEANIA CRUISES UNVEILS 2015 SUMMER COLLECTION: 76 VOYAGES, 67 OVERNIGHT PORT STAYS, 43 NEW ITINERARIES

MIAMI, February 25, 2014 –Today Oceania Cruises announces its 2015 Summer Collection featuring voyages to the Mediterranean, Northern Europe, Alaska, Canada, Asia and Africa. Reservations for the new voyages open for sale on March 5, 2014 at 8:30 a.m. Eastern.

The award-winning fleet of Regatta, Insignia, Nautica, Marina, and Riviera will offer a diverse collection of itineraries, with 24 exciting new ports of call on four continents during the 2015 summer season. Among the new ports are Luanda, Angola; Paamiut, Greenland; Trois-Rivières, Québec; Archangel, Russia; Skiathos, Greece; Londonderry, Northern Ireland; Wismar, Germany; and Palamós, Spain. Also new this season is a series of Grand Voyages in Europe. Ranging in length from 20 to 70 days, these longer itineraries offer guests multiple opportunities for extended exploration during the summer.

"Our 2015 Summer Collection is perfect for those who enjoy a taste of the finer things in life," shares Kunal S. Kamlani, the line's president. "With a fantastic mix of marquee cities, boutique ports of call and extended port stays, we set a new standard for immersive destination experiences."

New Voyages
Nautica, Marina, and Riviera will set sail on 43 incredible European itineraries, 40 of which are new. Nautica will spend the majority of the season exploring the majesty of the British Isles, the Baltic and Scandinavia, sailing as far north as Greenland, while Marina will also explore the region before making her way around the Iberian Peninsula to embark on several cruises in the Western Mediterranean. Featuring all new itineraries, Riviera will call the Mediterranean, the Greek Isles, Turkey and the Black Sea home for the season. Regatta will spend the summer in Alaska offering her perennial favorite 7- and 10-day itineraries as well as five all new sailings, including the exciting 12-day Glacial Explorer. In the fall, she will sail for New York City on a new Panama Canal cruise and then showcase the autumn foliage with four cruises throughout New England and Canada.

Due to the overwhelming response to the line's first-ever world expedition unveiled last summer, Insignia will depart on a second 180-day voyage on July 8, 2015. Unlike conventional world cruises that commence in winter, this unique voyage will spend the summer sailing from Miami through New England and Canada to Greenland, Iceland and Norway. Insignia will then call on France, Portugal and Spain en route to Italy and other alluring destinations in the Mediterranean. As the winter season begins, the voyage will explore Asia and Africa before returning to Miami. Individual segments within the 180-Day World Odyssey will open for bookings with the launch of the 2015 summer season, as will Grand Voyages featuring various combinations of these itineraries.

"We are always creating new itineraries to enhance and enrich the ways in which our guests discover the world. These new voyages present the most sought-after destinations around the globe and deliver them at an unrivaled value," added Kamlani.
