Come enjoy an Alaskan feast that will tantalize all of your senses during this taste-tempting tour!
A short transfer from the pier brings you to the Gold Creek Salmon Bake, Alaska's "original" outdoor salmon bake for over 30 years. Upon arrival, you will catch the enticing aroma of wild Alaskan-caught salmon grilling over an open alder wood fire. Your mouth-watering, all-you-can-eat feast in the pristine setting of the forest also includes Cheechako Chicken, Gold Rush Potatoes , Chilkoot Baked Beans, Tongass Wild-Rice Pilaf, a variety of fresh salads, corn bread, clam chowder, lemonade, coffee and tea. All of this topped off with a delicious blueberry cake for dessert. Beer and wine are available for purchase.
Sit back and enjoy the views of a nearby waterfall and the sounds of a local musician as you dine alfresco beside Salmon Creek, which is nestled in the lush foliage of Southeast Alaska's rain forest. Dining under a canopy of translucent domes, you are well-protected rain or shine.
Following your meal, continue your idyllic outdoor experience by roasting marshmallows over a crackling campfire or getting a closer view of the beautiful Salmon Creek waterfall beneath which salmon spawn. You can also see the remnants of the historic Wagner Mine from this location.
Reboarding your coach for the return to Juneau, you will no doubt agree that this extraordinary outdoor restaurant experience is truly more that a meal, it's an adventure!
