Your day begins with a short walk from the pier to the public jetfoil that will take you to Capri. After the scenic 30-minute cruise, you will transfer by private minibus to Capri Town. Here, you may follow your guide for an informative walk or explore independently.
At noon, meet for lunch with wine at the exclusive Hotel Quisisana or a similar hotel. Afterwards, take the minibus back to the pier and board a private motor launch for your cruise around the island. The highlight is your visit to the Blue Grotto, the cavern known for its iridescent blue waters. To access the cave, you will approach its entrance by motor launch, then climb aboard a small rowboat and enter the low, narrow mouth of the cave. Once inside, marvel at the grotto's intense blue hue and the silvery glow that radiates from the objects immersed in the waters below.
Should time, weather and sea conditions allow, enjoy visits to other caves characteristic to Capri, such as the Green Grotto, Coral Grotto and White Grotto, or take a refreshing dip in the ocean.
Then re-board your jetfoil for the return to Sorrento and your ship.
Please note: As this excursion involves extensive walking, including approximately one hour in Capri Town and the negotiation of steep and uneven surfaces, it is not recommended for guests with walking difficulties. It is recommended that guests dress in casual clothing and wear flat, comfortable shoes. Although guests are not expected to get wet on this excursion, any electronic devices (such as MP3 players, cell phones, cameras, etc.), as well as any valuable items must be stored in a sealable, waterproof dry bag or left on board the ship. Any damage occurring to these items is the responsibility of the guests. Entering the Blue Grotto, in particular, is subject to weather conditions due to the cave's small opening. If the water is high, guests may be asked to lie or crouch down in the boat to enter the Blue Grotto. Crowding and lines can be anticipated at the jetfoil and funicular stations. Lines will also form at the Blue Grotto because of the use of local rowboats, which cannot be pre-reserved. The transfer by jetfoil is not exclusive; however, the motor launch is exclusive. Availability of this excursion may be for a maximum of 12 guests only with no additional space becoming available. The operation of this excursion, including interior visits to the grottos and ocean swim, is dependent on sea and weather conditions. Should weather conditions and rough seas not allow the cruise around Capri by motor launch, a visit of Anacapri village with Axel Munthe Villa or Monte Solaro will be substituted. The order of sights visited may vary.
