Take a stroll through South Korean history during this half-day tour of the Folk Village.
Depart the pier in Inchon for the scenic 1-hour and 20-minute drive to the Korean Folk Village, an open-air museum that encapsulates traditional life during the Joseon Dynasty (1700s to 1910). This authentic working village is comprised of approximately 250 traditional-style structures in which artisans, farmers, and shamans practice and preserve traditions that are no longer part of daily life.
During your tour, you will visit the potter's studio, brewery, blacksmith shop, water mill, marketplace, typical farmer's dwelling, a Confucian school, middle-class society house, and more. You will also have an opportunity to observe acrobatic tightrope walking, a farmer's band and dance, traditional wedding ceremony and some of the more than 30,000 household items from various regions of Korea.
Please note: This tour involves a total of approximately 1 mile of walking. Outdoor presentations/performances such as the farmers' band and tight-rope walking, may be canceled without notice due to inclement weather conditions.
