Enjoy a panoramic tour of Amsterdam and then visit the wonderful Van Gogh Museum.
From the pier, you'll commence a brief panoramic tour of Amsterdam, en route to Museum Square where the famous Van Gogh Museum is located. Some of the highlights you'll pass along the way are Dam Square, the cultural center of the city, and the Mint Tower.
The Van Gogh Museum houses the largest collection of the 19th century master's paintings and drawings in the world. The collection is as unique as Van Gogh himself, who is as famous for lopping off his own earlobe as he is for his amazing, colorful, post-Impressionist renditions of sunflowers, potato-eaters and tortured self-portraits. Upon arrival, your guide will brief you before you enter the museum and then you will have plenty of time to explore the museum on your own (guided tours are not permitted). Experience the painter's life and strangely somber work as you browse among the numerous paintings and drawings on display.
Following your visit, you'll re-board your coach and travel back to the pier, enjoying some further sightseeing along the way.
Please note: This tour includes approximately 1-hour of moderate walking. The tour is not available to wheelchair guests and those with mobility concerns are cautioned to carefully evaluate their personal level of stamina and ability. Weather appropriate clothing; umbrella or raincoat; and flat, comfortable walking shoes are recommended.
