Experience the majestic settings of Ålesund during this tour by coach and private, chartered boat.
Ålesund, with its beautiful setting and several islands setting out into the ocean, provides truly magical scenery. Your journey begins by coach with photo stops at the Hessa and Aksla viewpoints. There will be excellent views of beautiful Ålesund afforded from two different angles. From here, you will then continue your drive along the Borgundfjord, past modern suburbs and the old trading center of Borgund.
Arriving at Solevågen, you will board a private, chartered boat that will cruise the 20-mile long Hjørundfjord. This fjord is considered to be one of the most magnificent in Norway, surrounded on both sides by majestic mountain peaks and amazing vistas. After cruising through Vegsundet and Borgundfjord, you will make your way back to Ålesund where it's a short stroll back to the ship.
Please note: There is a gangway to negotiate to board the touring boat and the boat cannot accommodate wheelchairs; therefore, the tour is not available to wheelchair guests. Those guests with mobility concerns are cautioned to evaluate their personal level of ability. Guests who are prone to motion sickness should take necessary precautions. Casual, weather appropriate clothing and comfortable walking shoes with a non-slip sole are suggested. There are restrooms aboard the touring boat. The order of sites visited may vary.
