Don't miss this opportunity to catch a glimpse of nature's largest undersea denizens from up-close during this memorable whale-watching expedition.
Depart the pier for the transfer to Reykjavik's Old Harbor. Upon arrival, you and your guide will embark a boat for the ride out to sea; normally, no further than 15 nautical miles from the harbor. Along the way, you may see minke, humpback and killer whales, along with various species of dolphins, seabirds and seals. Marine life most commonly sighted includes minke whales, white-beaked dolphins, harbor porpoises, humpback whales, and killer whales (orcas).
Throughout the tour, your guide will inform you about your trip, what you can see and where to look, together with an introduction and safety guide. The boat features coffee facilities and restrooms, as well as large windows to observe marine life for those who choose to stay inside. Following your tour, you will be transferred back to the pier.
Please note: The tour includes a minimal amount of walking and is available to wheelchair guests who have a non-motorized collapsible wheelchair, can make their own way on and off the coach and tour vessel and have a companion to assist them. Those with mobility concerns are cautioned to evaluate their personal level of ability and stamina. Guests who are prone to motion sickness should take the necessary precautions. Warm, weather appropriate clothing and flat, comfortable walking shoes with a non-slip sole are suggested. There are special thermal suits on board that participants can borrow if necessary. Although sightings of marine life are common, they are not guaranteed.
