Indulge your senses with Scotland's unique scenic beauty and agricultural past during this visit to the spectacular Isle of Skye.

Depart Portree for the drive north to the Trotternish Peninsula and the Isle of Skye. Upon arrival, you'll learn about the fascinating geological and social history of the Isle of Skye, especially its crofting history. You'll pass by the curious rock outcrop known as the Old Man of Storr, then journey North to Kilt Rock, a dramatic 200 foot-high cliff marked in an almost tartan-like pattern by rock strata, and a waterfall cascading down to the pebbled shore below. Some time will be made to soak up the atmosphere, and take wonderful photographs of your surroundings.

Next, you'll proceed past Staffin, a small crafting town overlooking sandy Staffin Bay, before continuing around the northern tip of Skye. You'll hear myths and legends about Skye along the way, as you continue on to the settlement of Kilmuir. Upon arrival, you'll visit the charming little Museum of Island Life to learn more about the traditional crofting lifestyle.

Your tour concludes with a drive through Uig, then back to Portree and your ship.

Please note: This tour includes approximately 500 yards of walking at the Croft Museum, steps over thresholds and natural terrain paths. The tour is not available to wheelchair guests and may not be suitable for those with mobility concerns. Weather appropriate clothing, umbrellas and flat comfortable walking shoes are recommended. Please Note that when the ship anchors at Loch Dunvegan, the tour duration is an additional hour.
