Once the royal family's private hunting grounds, Djurgarden Island has become a favorite recreation area for the local residents. As you bicycle along its meandering paths and streets, you'll enjoy a unique perspective to see the surrounding harbors, canals, private mansions, museums and palaces.
Djurgarden, also known as Stockholm's "green lounge" for its verdant landscape, features an enormous stretch of open parkland, and is one of the world's most attractive urban parks. It's a serene wonderland for birds and other wildlife, as the island is a part of the "Eco park," which is the world's first city national park.
After touring Djurgarden Island, you'll cycle back to the pier where your tour concludes. Your guided bike ride lasts just over 2 1/2 hours and covers approximately 6.5 miles.
