Experience the romantic side of Quebec with a lovely horse-drawn carriage ride to the historic district, where you will enjoy a gourmet dinner at a legendary restaurant.
Everything about this excursion exudes romance. A traditional horse-drawn carriage will be waiting for you at the pier, and the coachman, dressed in 19th century attire, will help you in. As the carriage winds its way through the streets, the horse clip-clopping along, you can simply sit back and relax. Enjoy the scenery, which is especially charming in Old Quebec, a neighborhood with an Old World ambiance, beautiful Victorian buildings, and narrow cobbled streets. No wonder it has earned the distinction of being a World Heritage Site.
Arriving at Le Continental, the city's oldest gourmet restaurant, you will be seated at a special table reserved for your party. The restaurant occupies the former home of a Canadian Supreme Court justice that was built in 1845, and the furnishings are magnificent. In this wonderful setting, you'll enjoy a four-course meal accompanied by impeccable service. While the menu will be determined by the season and what ingredients are the freshest, you can be assured that the cuisine and experience will be exquisite.
Following your meal, you may choose to take a leisurely walk back to the pier or if you prefer, transportation will be provided directly back to the ship.
Please note: This tour includes minimal walking. The tour is not available to wheelchair guests and those with mobility concerns are cautioned to carefully evaluate their personal level of ability as participants must be able to climb into and out of the carriage with minimal assistance. The restrooms within the restaurant are located up one flight of stairs. Country club casual dress or cocktail attire is expected.
