See Charleston's most important historical landmarks and experience the vivid sights and sounds of this charming southern city on this two-hour narrated tour that offers participants a comprehensive overview of this beautiful city.

Charleston is considered the jewel of the southeastern United States and "America's Best-kept Secret." Through economic hardship, fires, earthquakes, and hurricanes, Charleston has exhibited a remarkable resilience. Often called a living museum, history is found literally around every corner of the city.

Boarding your coach pierside, you'll commence a relaxing tour of the city. No doubt, you will soon be captivated by her stately homes with their lovely gardens, her magnificent public buildings and her majestic churches. As you through her lovely streets your expert guide will entertain you with interesting commentary about some of her more prominent sites and citizens.

Travel through the College of Charleston, one of the first colleges in this county, the Citadel, the Military College of South Carolina, and Mazyck-Wraggborough & Harleston Village which were early suburbs of the city. You will also see magnificent mansions along High Battery and Rainbow Row's elegant 18th century town houses.

Some of the landmarks that you will pass are St. Michael's Episcopal Church whose bells have crossed the Atlantic seven times; the Old Exchange and Provost Dungeon where Revolutionary Prisoners were held captive by the British, the Fireproof Building designed by the Robert Mills who also designed the Washington monument and the Old City Market, a public market for over two hundred years.

Before returning to the ship, a stop will be made at White Point Gardens, located at the tip of Charleston's famous battery. This is the perfect place to take that special photo!

Please note: This tour includes limited walking, mainly at the guest's discretion. The tour is available to guests who utilize a wheelchair who are able to make their way on and off the coach and sit in a coach seat. Casual clothing and comfortable, flat walking shoes are suggested. A restroom is available on the coach. The order of the sites visited or viewed may vary.
