This tour gives you a great overview of the Huatulco area while successfully combining a relaxing experience that offers an opportunity to both shop and learn about the past, present and future of this friendly and inviting tropical destination from your knowledgeable local guide.
Greeted at the pier by your guide, you'll board an air-conditioned motor coach and set-off for the Tangolunda Bay Hotel District. Centered along the shoreline of this impressive bay are numerous deluxe hotels, resorts and fashionable estates. There will be a brief stop to take photos here before it's time to continue on to stunning Conejos Bay. The scenery you'll find here is nothing short of breathtaking and you'll be sure to capture pictures of the amazing views.
Next, you'll proceed to El Chapulin (the grasshopper) and Mescal Plaza, where a 30-45 minute stop gives you the chance to experience Oaxaca's arts & crafts, local products, traditions, costumes and culture. Observe local artisans at work and taste such gastronomic delights as chocolate, mole and cheese as your guide explains the seven ethnic regions that make up the State of Oaxaca. You'll also see a sampling of the regional dress characteristic to the Tehuantepec Isthmus.
Your next stop is La Crucecita, a quaint town where you will have 60 minutes to stroll its tree-shaded streets, visit the lively marketplace and browse in the stores that lie adjacent to the charming central plaza. While there's a wide variety of items available for purchase here, you may just wish to find a comfortable seat in the plaza to simple sit and immerse yourself in the ambience of this delightfully laid-back place.
Your final tour stop will be at the La Entrega Beach viewpoint. From this advantageous location you'll have panoramic views of your ship and the port, along with the dazzling crescent of white sand beach and aqua waters that comprise La Entrega Beach. You'll even be able to see the impressive coral reef that makes this a popular spot for snorkeling. After taking memorable photos, you'll re-board your coach for the short drive to the pier.
Please note: This tour includes approximately 1 1/2 hours of walking plus any additional walking at the guests' discretion during free time. It is not available to wheelchair guests and those with mobility concerns are cautioned to evaluate their personal level of ability and stamina.
