Discover the Mexican countryside from the unique vantage point of seeing it on horseback. Departing the pier, you'll have a short transfer to Hacienda Dona Engracia where upon arrival your guide will greet you and conduct a short orientation. Following your orientation, you will be carefully matched with a horse that suits your ability.
Setting off from the Hacienda, you will ride along the Mascota River, passing through quaint little villages and viewing the local scenery as you journey on a picturesque trek through this river canyon. At the mid-way point of your ride, a stop will be made for you to relax a bit. Be sure to wear a swimsuit under your riding clothes because if conditions permit, you may be able to enjoy a swim on horseback or take a dip at the hot springs.
After your stop, you will remount your horse and head back to the Hacienda. Upon arrival, you will say farewell to your horse and be treated to a complimentary drink and a tour of the tequila process before being transferred back to the pier.
Please note: This tour includes minimal walking, mainly at the guest's discretion; however, much of it is over uneven terrain and natural surfaces. This tour is not available to wheelchair guests, those with mobility concerns, heart problems, asthma, epilepsy, recent back or neck injuries, or pregnant women. Participants should be in good physical condition, be able to ride the horse on their own, be at least 12 years of age and weigh no more than 220 lbs. Guests under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Long pants (clothing may get dusty or wet), closed-toe shoes (mandatory), a hat, sunglasses and sunscreen are suggested. Those wishing to go in the water should wear a swimsuit under their riding clothes. During certain times of the year, the river level rises and forces the tour to follow the mountain trail, canceling all swimming. Guests may be asked to sign a release form before being allowed to take part in the tour.
