This tour is nothing less than pure fun. As you will discover, these lovable rascals are comical, mischievous, playful and very friendly. Fast, agile and adorable, sea lions are fascinating to watch, and play with. It is certain that their inclination to engage in play and include humans in their games, is what makes sea lion encounters so exhilarating.
Start off from the pier for the 30-minute drive to the Sea Lion Center where your hosts will greet you and give you an informative overview about these affectionate mammals you are about to meet and interact with.
Following your briefing, you will head down to the pool where you will enjoy a 25-minute experience getting acquainted with these wonderful creatures. Take the opportunity to play, pet or shake a flipper or two and possibly receive a big fishy kiss from your new friends. No doubt you will be left with lasting memories of this utterly unique excursion.
Before heading back to the pier, you will be treated to a buffet lunch at the center and have free time to shop for souvenirs or purchase photos of your time with the sea lions before it's time to return to the pier.
Please note: This tour is not available to wheelchair guests, guests with mobility concerns or pregnant women. The minimum age to participate is 10 years of age and the minimum height is 4 1/2 feet. Children under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Swimsuits must be worn under your clothing. A towel, comfortable flat shoes, a hat and sunglasses are suggested. Guests will have to rinse off any lotions, perfumes or oils before being allowed to enter the pool as well as remove any rings, watches or other items that may scratch the sea lions.
