Combine two of the Caribbean's most popular activities in one phenomenal tour by sailing on a catamaran and then snorkeling through crystal-clear waters.
Depart from the pier for a short ride to the dock where a sleek, 82-foot catamaran awaits you. This is the ultimate sailing vessel, designed for maximum pleasure and panoramic viewing of the Dominican coastline. Stretch out on the spacious decks and bask in the glory of the sun. Sip a refreshing tropical drink in the shaded lounge while merengue music plays in the background. It's the perfect choice in music, as merengue was created in the 1920s in the Dominican Republic and has become the national style of music and dance. The rhythm is infectious and sets a wonderful carefree tone for the excursion.
After cruising along the gorgeous sea, you'll arrive at the snorkeling site in a tranquil bay, where you'll have the opportunity to observe the wonderland below the surface. These waters are known for abundant marine life, and you're sure to see an array of colorful tropical fish and other sea creatures. Or if you prefer to simply swim, feel free. On the leisurely return to La Romana, toast your day of relaxation with a cool drink and gaze out over the spectacular coastline.
Please note: While there is limited walking on this tour, guests should be in good physical condition and be good swimmers.
