Spend a leisurely day at Las Palmas Beach Club, a magnificent complex of shops, restaurants and bars on a beautiful stretch of beach at Pirate Bay.
It's a short drive from the pier to Las Palmas Beach Club, a collection of colorful shops and restaurants located right on the beach at Pirate Bay. You'll be welcomed with a glass of refreshing punch and while you're enjoying it, you may wish to plan your activities or perhaps just wander about with no purpose in mind other than relaxing.
Being casual and carefree is encouraged at Las Palmas Beach Club, where many of the staff members join the fun by dressing as pirates. Feel free to spend the day reading in the shade of a coconut palm (beach chairs are complimentary). Or stroll along the shore, looking out over the crystalline waters. You may even see the Black Pearl, a replica of a 17th-century pirate ship that often anchors here. If you're in the mood for a swim, the sea is typically calm and inviting.
Still, not every activity is beach related. You can also choose to meander through the shops looking for casual clothing or wooden handicrafts. Cameos are one of the more unusual items, as local artisans hand-carve each piece from double-layered conch shells and coral, using a steel burin to cut the designs. They are truly one-of-a-kind souvenirs.
