A 20-minute drive from the pier brings you to Nikitsky Botanical Gardens - one of the oldest and largest botanical gardens in the world. Designed in 1812 by Swedish botanist Christian Steven, the gardens are filled with some 50,000 species, varieties, forms and hybrids of plants from every continent in the world.
Situated on the high slopes of the village of Nikita, the gardens cover a sprawling area of nearly 100 acres and boast an amazing collection of roses, numbering around 250 varieties. From mid-spring until late autumn, visitors can admire the wonderful blooming flowers that thrive in Yalta's sub-tropical climate.
Following a visit of approximately 2 hours to this peaceful and colorful attraction, you'll re-board your coach and travel back to the pier in Yalta.
Please note: This tour includes approximately 2 hours of walking and/or standing. As the gardens are situated on a hillside, the walking can at times be strenuous and there are numerous steps to negotiate. This tour is not available to wheelchair guests and not considered suitable for those with mobility concerns. A hat and comfortable walking shoes are recommended.
