Depart the Thilawa port for the 1 hour drive to Yangon. Before reaching the Strand Hotel, enjoy a short orientation tour of the city, passing by the Shwedagon Pagoda and stopping for a brief photo stop at People's Square.
The Strand originally opened in 1901. With 32 spaciously appointed suites, interiors of polished teak, rattan furniture, chandeliers and black-lacquered ceiling fans, The Strand is truly the elegant colonial splendor of a bygone era.
Enjoy cocktails and canapes at the Exotic Strand Bar or in the Strand Ball Room (location to be confirmed), accompanied by a 45-minute Myanmar Puppet Show.
Before the one-hour return drive to Yangon, you will drive by the City Hall and the Independent Monument.
Please note: This tour includes minimal walking and is available to wheelchair guests who have a collapsible wheelchair, are able to make their own way on and off the coach and have a companion to assist them. Country club casual dress and comfortable shoes are suggested.
