Traveling by tender to Hamilton Island, you will board a luxury high-speed catamaran for a relaxing cruise and commentary as you travel through the Whitsunday Islands. The islands are mostly protected and preserved as one of Australia's National Parks.
After approximately 1-hour of sailing, your catamaran will arrive at Whitehaven Beach, where you will anchor a short distance off the beach. From here, a tender will ferry you ashore for approximately 2 1/2 hours of free time to either sun, swim or explore the National Park bushland that fringes this pristine beach. Considered to be among the top 10 beaches in the world, Whitehaven Beach is around 3 1/2 miles of 95% pure white silica sand. Being a National Park, you will find this beach to be free of high rise buildings, shops and typical beachside vendors. Best suited for those who wish to dispense with the usual resort style beach offerings, this amazing, unspoiled paradise offers an incredible vista of crystal clear waters and dazzling white sand. Whether you choose to stroll along the paths, swim, or simply lie back and enjoy a book, you will undoubtedly relish your time here.
A delicious barbecue lunch will be provided on board the catamaran. Beverages, including Australian wine, local beer and soft drinks are available for purchase (at guests' own expense). Following your time at Whitehaven Beach, the catamaran will return to Hamilton Island where you will board your tender back to the ship.

There is some limited shade along the bush fronting the beach. This tour is not exclusive to Oceania Cruises guests.

Guests taking part in any swimming activities do so at their own risk and responsibility. Swimming ability and capability is the responsibility of each guest and if in doubt, please consult a physician. Consumption of alcohol before or during water activities is not recommended. No responsibility will be taken for guests who have consumed alcoholic beverages prior to water activities.
Environmentally friendly toilet facilities are available at Whitehaven Beach, and the tender will be on standby for any guests wishing to return to the catamaran.
