Leaving the city, you will travel a short distance to Crocodylus Park, famous for its work on crocodile research. Operated by wildlife research consultants, they will give you a fascinating presentation on this awesome animal. While here, you will get to observe the crocodiles in the park's lagoon as well as in their pens, and witness a crocodile feeding. Amazingly, the crocodiles will literally leap several feet in the air for their food. You will also be given the opportunity to have a photo taken with a juvenile crocodile ... and for the more adventurous, to hold one.

After your visit at the Park, you'll return to the city for a stop at the Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory that overlooks Fannie Bay. Take time while you are here to view its excellent collection of Aboriginal, South-East Asian and Oceanic Art. You will also find a permanent collection of major Australian fine art and Northern Territory natural science on display here.

Continuing on, you will next visit the Aviation Heritage Centre, which features an impressive presentation of aircraft and displays depicting the Northern Territory's involvement in aviation, both civil and military. The exhibits span from the early pioneers and record breakers - through World War II and the jet age of Vulcan's, Concorde and other exotic aircraft. One of the most awesome displays is a B52 Bomber, one of only two complete aircraft of its type on display outside the United States. Additionally, you'll find the B-25 Mitchell, Mirage and Sabre jet fighters, an ex-Royal Australian Navy Wessex helicopter, an ex-US Army Huey Cobra with its rocket pods and Gatling gun, a Mark VIII Spitfire replica and the fascinating wreckage of a Japanese Mitsubishi Zero fighter. Aviation aficionados will no doubt thoroughly enjoy this visit.

Your tour concludes with a brief overview of Darwin's essential highlights before being returned to the pier.

Please note: Comfortable walking shoes, a sun hat, sunglasses, sunscreen and insect repellent are recommended. The Aviation Heritage Centre is not air-conditioned. Exhibits are constantly being upgraded and added therefore some exhibits may be removed or changed. The order of sights visited may vary and the itinerary may be reversed. This tour does not operate with a separate guide, but rather with a driver/guide.
