Boarding your coach at the pier, you'll enjoy a picturesque drive into Kuala Lumpur, where your first stop will be at at the Old Railway Station and National Mosque. The Old Railway Station is a splendid building in the heart of the city and it's Moorish architecture with graceful arches and minarets makes it one of the city's most photographed landmarks. Located adjacent is the National Mosque,the most distinguished mosque in Kuala Lumpur. It has an unique stylised, star shaped dome representing the 13 states of Malaysia and the five pillars of Islam.
Next, you will travel to Independence Square, the location of your next stop. It is here, on the former playing field of the Royal Selangor Club, that important events are held, such as the Independence Day and New Year's celebrations. You will also view the impressive Sultan Abdul Samad Building, the Royal Selangor Club and St. Mary Cathedral before making a brief photo stop at the magnificent and world renowned Petronas Twin Towers, the world's tallest twin buildings.
Continuing on, you will make your way to Kuala Lumpur's Chinatown where you will find the vibrant and exciting Petaling Street. This colorful covered bazaar is a bargain hunter's paradise with a seemingly endless variety of goods that range from t-shirts, to watches to traditional Chinese herbal medicines. Free time is allowed to stroll amongst the various stalls and negotiating prices is an expected practice.
Your final stop for the day is at the Suria KLCC, a modern six-level shopping mall. Here, you will have approximately two hours of free time to enjoy lunch at one of the many restaurants onsite and shop in the vast array of retail shops available. At the designated time and location, you will rejoin your coach for the return trip back to the ship.
