After driving through some of Maui's most spectacular countryside, you will get to experience it up-close by walking to several waterfalls in one of Maui's most popular rain forest valleys.
Leaving from the pier, you will first travel along Maui's magnificent coastline, through the isthmus and then follow the Hana Highway for a short time. The falls you will see today are 10 to 40 feet high and all have large pools perfect for swimmers or toe dippers (swimming is optional). It's unusual for a valley to have so many waterfalls so close together. This is truly Maui at its best - gorgeous bamboo and tropical rain forests, fresh-water streams, numerous waterfalls and pools, ferns, flowers and fruit trees. The entire area is a playground of beauty and adventure. Adding to the experience, there is nothing like "showering" under a Hawaiian waterfall.
Your excursion is further enhanced by your hiking guides - expert naturalists renowned in Hawai'i as "walking encyclopedias" in botany, ethnobotany, geology, culture and history. In fact, they won Hawaii's "Eco Tour Company ofthe Year" award in 2010.
At one of the marvelous waterfall locations you will visit, you will be provided with a light lunch consisting of fruit and a sandwich.
Following approximately 3 1/2 hours exploring this glorious environment, you will re-board your coach and make the return journey to the pier in Kahului.
