Embrace Bora Bora's pristine natural beauty in an exhilarating new way during this exciting off-road adventure along the road less traveled.
Depart the pier with your driver for an off-road, 4WD excursion to places only accessible via off-road equipped vehicles. Leaving the main road behind, your driver will navigate off-road tracks that cover steep terrain, and introduce you to the plants, trees and lifestyles of Bora Bora.
After driving through the small town of Vaitape on the shore of Pofai Bay, you'll ascend Pahonu Hill. Here, you will find expansive views of Bora Bora's natural harbor and Matira Beach. You will then continue on for a second ascent, some more off-road adventure driving and a visit to the cannons still standing in their original World War II locations. Following this, you will make a stop at a local pareo house where these hand-made sarongs are made. After learning how they are made and how to best wear them, you'll have an opportunity to purchase some as a souvenir of your visit.
Your journey draws to a close with stops at the Antena viewpoint and a local pearl farm where you can gain some insight into pearl farming. Afterward, you will travel back to the pier.
Please note: Walking on this tour is mainly at the guests' discretion during the stops. As this tour involves rough off-road driving and steep ascents and descents, guests with limited mobility, back and/or neck problems, pregnant women or those who suffer from vertigo are discouraged from participating. The tour is not available to wheelchair guests. Light-weight clothing; sun cap; sunglasses; sunscreen; insect repellant; water from the ship; and flat, comfortable walking shoes are recommended. Each vehicle carries a maximum of 8 passengers. Every attempt will be made to keep family members and friends together, but this will not always be possible.
