The Historical Center of Lima, which was also named the "City of Kings", is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Historian and genealogist Paul Rizo-Patron takes you on a walking tour of the Old City, visiting the jewels of colonial Lima. San Marcos University, founded in 1551, is the oldest university in the Americas. Casa de la Riva Agûero, where the most important archives of Peruvian History are now kept. The Jesuit Convent of San Pedro, consecrated in 1638, is definitely one of the masterpieces of baroque architecture in Peru. Also visit Casa de Aliaga, built in 1535 by conquistador Jeronimo de Aliaga, and still occupied today by the family's 17th generation. Enjoy cocktails and a gourmet lunch at the mansion before returning to the ship.
