This excursion offers up a delightful scenic tour of Cornwall. Leaving the pier, you will first travel up the pretty Fal estuary through Penryn, once a famous shipbuilding area, to the Georgian city of Truro and capital of Cornwall. View its famous cathedral with one of its three spires a green color, serving as a memorial to the former copper mining industry.
From here, you will continue on towards Redruth and Camborne where your journey will take you through a countryside of tree flanked lanes, pretty hamlets, granite cottages and Methodist chapels and then back in time to the age of Poldark and tin-mining. The tranquil south coast is reached at Marazion where there are splendid views of St. Michael's Mount, where a photo stop is made, and Penzance which sits across Mounts Bay.
Before leaving Penzance and heading back to the pier, you will be treated to a refreshment at a local hotel where you can relax and enjoy some lovely views of Penzance and across to St. Michael's Mount.
