Have you ever wondered what the underwater world would look like without having to snorkel or scuba dive? Well now that's possible with Grenada's newest water adventure. Discover the beautiful habitat beneath the surface from your seat on a double clear bottom kayak. It truly is the next best thing to snorkeling or scuba diving.
It's a 15-minute transfer from the port to your starting point at Grand Mal Bay, situated next to the Sunset View Restaurant on the Island's West Coast. After receiving a safety briefing and instructions on how to maneuver your kayak, you will hop onboard and begin your fantastic journey. Your trek takes you over the Grand Mal coral reefs and down to Cherry Hill, before turning around and making your way to Molinere Bay where you can view the popular divers' reefs and the variety of underwater life that make this area their habitat.
After approximately 75-minutes, you will return to the Sunset View Restaurant where you will have a chance to relax and rest up with a refreshing swim in the calm bay and a complimentary drink from the bar (rum punch, local beer, local fruit juice, soft drink or water).
Following a 1-hour break at Grand Mal Bay, you will re-join your van and travel back to the pier where your tour concludes.
Please note: This tour involves approximately 75-minutes of kayaking which at times involves strenuous activity. The tour is not available to wheelchair guests, those guests with mobility concerns, pregnant women or those persons suffering with asthma, heart conditions or back problems. Lightweight clothing, flat, comfortable walking shoes, sun cap, sunglasses and sunscreen are suggested. Those wishing to swim should wear swimwear under their clothing and bring a towel. Guests taking part in any water activities do so at their own risk and responsibility. All guests will be required to sign a liability waiver before being allowed to take part in the tour. No one under 18 years of age is permitted to consume alcohol.
