This jeep exploration of Huahine allows you to fully experience its natural beauty from the more intimate perspective of a 4WD jeep that seats just 8 guests.
From the pier, you will first enjoy a panoramic drive around Maroe Bay, where you are treated to great views over both the bay and the clear blue lagoon that surrounds the island. On shore, luxuriant green vegetation is found in nearly every direction, further enhancing the marvelous scenery that surrounds you.
Your first stop will be at Faie Village where you will have an opportunity to feed the blue-eyed eels that live in the stream running through the village. From Faie Village, you will continue on, passing by lake Fauna Nui on your way to the sacred marae of Maeva, a well-preserved archaeological site. Afterwards, you'll transfer back to the pier where your tour concludes.
Please note: Walking on this tour is mainly at the guests' discretion during the stops; however, a high step is required to board the jeep. As this tour involves some bumpy off-road driving, guests with limited mobility, back and/or neck problems, pregnant women or those who suffer from motion sickness are discouraged from participating. The tour is not available to wheelchair guests. Light weight clothing; sun cap; sunglasses; sunscreen; insect repellant; a bottle of water from the ship; and flat, comfortable walking shoes are recommended. The itinerary and order of the stops may change and the duration of the stops can vary based upon group size and interest. Time permitting, an optional stop at a pearl farm may be included. As the jeeps carry only 8 guests maximum, large families or couples may be split dependent on tour numbers.
