You may have heard about the world famous Sydney Bridge Climb and here is your chance to experience this once-in-a-lifetime experience first-hand. Meeting your escort on the pier, you'll walk the short distance to the nearby BridgeClimb - where you'll embark on an adventure that is definitely not for the faint-hearted. This never-to-be-forgotten experience has you literally climbing on one of the world's most modern wonders - The Sydney Harbor Bridge. On arrival at the BridgeClimb, you will meet your specialist guide who will take you through the extensive safety briefing and issue you a special BridgeSuit that will be worn over your own clothing. You will also be out-fitted with a safety harness before you proceed to the next part of your trek - the Climb simulator. It's here where the Climb Leaders will ensure that you are comfortable with the ladder procedures and use of your harness. Once the safety briefing is over, you will be given a radio and comfortable headset so that you can hear the commentary of your Climb Leader and then it is time to begin the Climb of Your Life.
Spending approximately two hours on the bridge itself, you will make your way over 4,900 feet of steel as you weave through catwalks, up ladders and then to the most spectacular point of all - the upper arch Climb. At this point, you not only have a bird's eye view of beautiful Sydney Harbor and the city spread out before you, but you also have the exhilaration of the truly rewarding experience of reaching the top of the Sydney Harbour Bridge. The Climb Leader, who escorts each group of 12 climbers, is equipped with the latest in digital photographic technology to capture the moment and all Climbers are provided with a complimentary photograph of their Climb group. Additional photographs are also taken which can be purchased at the conclusion of your Climb.
Back down on the ground again after your epic climb, you will make your way to the nearby famous Australian Hotel, located in The Rocks area of the city. Relax in the historic pub here and celebrate your achievement with an Aussie beer, wine or soft-drink before returning by foot to the ship.
Please note: This tour is not available to wheelchair guests, those with mobility concerns, heart problems, asthma, epilepsy, recent back or neck injuries, or pregnant women.
