Depart the pier for a brief city highlights before starting the walking part of your gourmet and art tour. You will sample delicious local tastes, as you are taken through some of Wellington's lively back streets, where you can browse the eclectic craft galleries and designer stores.
After a stop at a contemporary chocolatier, you will visit two modern Maori art and crafts galleries and enjoy a New Zealand honey tasting. Next, you will proceed to Moore Wilson's Fresh, where local chefs purchase fresh produce and regional cheeses. You will then visit a coffee roastery to experience the distinctive local coffee styles. Enjoy a light, three-course tasting lunch accompanied by New Zealand wines at a top restaurant.
Following your visit, you will re-board your mini-van for the return drive to the pier and ship.
Please note: This tour involves a half-mile walk on paved roads. The order of restaurants, cafés and galleries visited may vary. The coffee roastery is closed on weekends and the chocolaterie is closed on Sundays. On Saturdays these will be replaced with morning tea at a top eatery and on Sundays you will visit the two Sunday markets, the City Market and the Harbourside market for a range of tastings of local products.
