Discover the highlights of Salalah during this tour of the Garden City, Mughsail Beach, Job's Tomb, Al Husn Souq and more.
Depart the Pier for the drive to Mughsail Beach. Along the way, you may be lucky to see camels roaming along the roadside. Upon arrival, you will find nearly two miles of unspoiled white sand beaches, high cliffs at both ends and many picnic areas. If your arrival coincides with high tide, you may have an opportunity to witness the beach's spectacular "Blow Holes".
You will then proceed for a visit to Job's Tomb where, according to legend, the remains of the Muslim and Old Testament Prophet Job can be found. Job's Tomb is a sacred place of pilgrimage for Muslims, Christians and Jews. This site also offers panoramic views and photo opportunities of the striking Qara Mountains and Jubriah Plain.
Your tour will conclude with a stop at the Al Husn Souq, where time will be made available for you to stroll amongst the vendors. The colorful stalls are heaped with mounds of frankincense, myrh, incense, bottles of fragrant perfume oils and a wide array of fascinating artifacts for sale.
Please note: The order of sites visited may vary. Guests must dress modestly, and respect the local culture and traditions. Shorts and skirts are permitted, but must reach the knee, and shoulders must be covered. Shoes must be removed before entering the mosques.
