Oceania Exclusive tours are available for a specially selected number of tours in almost every port we visit, in every corner of the world.
Following a scenic drive from the port, your first stop will be the Cham Museum, one of the principal attractions of Da Nang. Founded by a group of French scholars in 1915, the old sandstone museum houses the best collection of Cham art in the world, including over 300 sandstone and terracotta sculptures. During the guided visit, you will see a sampling of incredible artifacts, sculptures and sandstone carvings. Proceed to Hoi An, an important international trading port from the 15th century to the late 19th century, with merchants from Asia, the Arabian Peninsula and Europe trading all types of goods from spices to gold. Located on the banks of Thu Bon River, Hoi An is dotted with ancient houses, community halls, temples, pagodas, bridges and tombs, still looking as they did when built. Upon arrival at the ancient town, enjoy a stroll to the center of the village and the Hoi An Museum with its excellent collection of porcelains, steles, photographs and maps. Continue through the narrow street to the ornate Phuoc Kien Temple, lavishly decorated with lacquered boards engraved with Chinese characters, and dedicated to Thien Hau, Goddess of the Sea. The walking tour continues to the ancient Japanese Bridge, built in 1593 to connect the Japanese and Chinese communities of Hoi An. Strolling across the bridge, visit one of the town's well-preserved houses, where you will have time to relax. After walking back to the coach, drive to a local restaurant for a buffet lunch, before returning to Hoi An for some free time to explore on your own. Following the tour return to the ship.
