The Lake District, of which Puerto Montt is the capital, is one of the most spectacular areas of Chile. Hundreds of picturesque lakes and dozens of active volcanoes dominate the landscape. Begin with a scenic drive towards Lake Llanquihue, South America's third-largest natural lake, dominated by the impressive snow-capped Osorno Volcano. Continue along the southern shores of the lake through Ensenada, located in the Vicente Perez Rosales National Park. Here, you will see the famous Petrohue Waterfalls. After visiting these wonderful falls, return to Puerto Varas where you will have the chance to visit the handicraft market and enjoy free time for lunch on your own. The tour continues with a short orientation of Puerto Montt before returning to the ship.
