Discover the Chilean spirit at its very finest during this picturesque winery tour in the Casablanca Valley, and a visit to a Chilean rodeo.
Depart the pier for the scenic drive through the vineyards in the heart of Casablanca Valley, whose true wine-producing potential has only recently been discovered. Its soil and conditions are in many ways similar to the Napa and Sonoma Valleys in California. Daily ocean breezes that cool the grapes on the vine enrich the valley, and help produce intensely fruity wines when properly fermented. A stop will be made at one of the wineries of Casablanca Valley. During your visit, you will be shown the wine-process and taste some of the wines they produce.
Next, you will continue on to Fiesta Linda, where you will be introduced to the Chilean horse. Upon arrival, you will be served a glass of wine or a Pisco sour, then witness the athletic skills of both man and horse during a Chilean rodeo demonstration.
After lunch at a local restaurant, you will depart for the return drive to Valparaíso. En route, you will visit Viña del Mar, a fashionable seaside resort and sister city to Valparaíso. While in Viña del Mar, a visit will be made to the Fonck Museum. Here, you can view an extensive and interesting collection of objects from Easter Island and the Chilean mainland, including a fine exhibit of Mapuche silver.
Following your visit, you will re-board your coach for a panoramic drive through this port city before returning to the pier.
