Recreation revolves around the beaches in this part of Brazil, as you will discover firsthand by visiting a number of extraordinary beaches south of Parati.
Departing from the pier, you will drive due south across the peninsula to Cepilho Beach, a spectacular strip of paradise known for its outstanding surf. After pausing for photos of Cepilho’s golden sand, punctuated by granite boulders and rocky outcroppings, you will continue on toward the village of Trindade.
Surrounded by Atlantic rainforest and blessed with gorgeous beaches, Trindade was once a hideout for pirates who raided boats shipping gold from Parati. Otherwise, fishing has been the primary source of income, which has kept Trindade wonderfully undeveloped and completely natural. Most of the activities revolve around the sea and beaches.
You will visit three of the most captivating beaches: Rancho, Meio and Cachadaco, each with its own personality and charms, which you can explore during free time. You might stretch out on the sand and watch the surf roll in, stroll along the shore climbing the occasional boulder, or sit in the shade of a swaying palm engaged in conversation with other beach-lovers. There isn’t a schedule to follow and that’s the beauty of it. You’re here to relax and soak up the atmosphere. After approximately ninety minutes of free time, you will rejoin your transportation and travel back to the pier.
