This fantastic full day tour which highlights Buenos Aires' major attractions and surrounding areas, is a great way to get acqainted with this vibrant and exciting city. Boarding your comfortable motor coach at the pier, you will pass through both the narrow streets of the old section and the wide boulevards of the modern city, the contrast giving you an interesting perspective on the character and history of the city.
Your route will take you down The Plaza de Mayo, the major hub of the city where you will find some of Buenos Aires' most important historic buildings, including the Cabildo (Colonial Town Hall); the Metropolitan Cathedral with the tomb of General San Martin; and Casa Rosada, the presidential palace that occupies the former site of the colonial fortifications. If the Cathedral is open, a short visit to the interior will be made. Continuing on through elegant Barrio Norte, you'll make your way to your next stop, the Recoleta Cemetery, an amazing above-ground cemetery lined with mausoleums and statues, made famous for being the final resting spot of Eva Peron - Evita. A short walk through the cemetery will bring you to the site of her well-secured tomb where many still place flowers today. Leaving the Cemetary, you'll travel through Recoleta Quarter and down Avenue del Libertador, considered to be the most attractive way to enter downtown Buenos Aires. This pathway into the city will take you past the pleasant residential neighborhoods of Vicente Lopez, Martinez, Olivos, and San Isidro y Acassusso before arriving at San Isidro Cathedral for a visit.
Your afternoon has you taking to Buenos Aires' waterways for another unique look at the city. As your coach transports you to the River Tigre via scenic narrow streets, you'll be able to enjoy picturesque views of fabulous mansions and yacht clubs tucked away behind the shady trees that line the roadway. Arriving at the boat dock, an island launch serves as your mode of transportation as you navigate through the inviting green labyrinth of the river's channels and streams, exploring the natural beauty of its islands. Your route will be interspersed with views of beautiful riverside villas, Victorian docks, English gardens, and traditional rowing and boating clubs reminiscent of those seen on the Thames in London. Stop to enjoy a typical lunch at Gato Blanco, situated in the heart of the Delta.
Your tour will continue with a relaxing water journey through the maze of rivers and channels of the Tigre Delta that have long been a favorite weekend getaway for porteños, the name describing the inhabitants of Buenos Aires.Your launch ride will slowly follow a meandering course that eventually brings you back to the Buenos Aires Pier where your tour will conclude.

The launch is not wheelchair accessible and therefore, this tour is not considered suitable for wheelchair guests. Those with mobility concerns are cautioned to evaluate their personal level of ability and stamina. Caps and comfortable walking shoes are recommended. Shorts and short skirts are not permitted to be worn inside the Cathedrals. The order of sights visited may vary and the itinerary may be reversed.
