Discover the beautiful gardens and historic artifacts of the South Seas during this delightful tour of scenic Fiji.
Depart the pier for a brief tour of Lautoka City. You will drive South down Vitogo Parade, which is lined with royal palms, then pass by the central market en route to Vuda Point, the site where the first Polynesians landed on Fiji circa 1000 AD. A photo stop will then be made at Tavakubu Village, located just outside the city of Lautoka.
Next, you will continue on for a visit to picturesque Burness House. Hosts Don and Aileen Burness will greet your arrival, then escort you on a walking tour through their landscaped gardens filled with fruit and flowering trees, arthurium lilies and lovely orchids. You will also view an extraordinary collection of Fijian artifacts, and be served morning tea, fruit juices and homemade cakes at the Burness' home.
Following your visit, you will re-board your coach for the return drive to the pier. En route, a stop will be made at Nadi's central market to browse for souvenirs, jewelry, wood carvings, cloth, and traditional handicrafts.
