Enjoy viewing Dublin's landmarks by both land and water on this leisurely tour.

Welcome to Dublin's Fair City. Bustling, cosmopolitan, ancient but young at heart, Dublin is one of Europe's liveliest cities, where medieval and 17th century buildings stand comfortably amid all the trappings of a 21st century city. Your voyage of discovery begins with a transfer to the River Liffey upon which Dublin was built.

Arriving at Point Depot, you will board the Liffey Voyager for a gentle and relaxing cruise along the river, during which you will hear the story of Dublin - from the first arrival of the Vikings 1,000 years ago, to the rapid development of the city during the 18th and 19th centuries. You will also be told the story behind the iconic Ha'penny Bridge as well as Gandon's masterpiece, the majestic Custom House. Follow the story of Dublin's Royal and Grand Canals and see where Oliver Cromwell landed in 1649. Learn how much of present day Dublin now sits on reclaimed land, including Trinity College and the Spire in O'Connell Street. The Liffey Voyager will navigate you on a charming journey through history in air-conditioned comfort and safety and is an experience not to be missed.

Your river tour concluded, you will rejoin your coach and guide for a panoramic drive through the city. See the Georgian Squares of Merrion and Fitzwilliam and stop to photograph the renowned Dublin Doorways before continuing on to St. Patrick's Cathedral. Founded in 1190, St. Patrick's is perhaps best known for its association with Jonathan Swift, who was Dean here from 1713 to 1745. The pulpit from which he preached is still to be seen and a brief photo/comfort stop will be made here.

From St. Patrick's you will next drive past the renowned Guinness Brewery, home of the famous Black Stuff for which Dublin is famous and then it's on to Phoenix Park, Europe's largest enclosed public park. Here, you can see the homes of Ireland's President and American Ambassador.

After a stop at Phoenix Park, your tour travels to the north side of Dublin's River Liffey where you will pass the Four Courts, Ireland's courts of justice. Your route back to the pier is via the International Financial Services Center.

Please note: This tour is mainly panoramic with any walking mostly at the guest's discretion. Because of space limitations on the tour boat, the tour is not available to wheelchair guests. Weather appropriate clothing and flat, comfortable walking shoes are suggested. Guests should be prepared for the possibility of rain. The order of sites visited may vary.
