Departing the pier by air-conditioned motor coach, venture along the scenic "bull route" toward Medina Sidonia. After approximately one hour, arrive at Cortijo Fuenterey, the beautiful farm of one of Spain's famed bullfighters, Fermín Bohórquez.
Usually, only close friends of the household enjoy the privilege of a visit to this renowned farm. Yet you will have an opportunity to discover its inner workings with an exploration of the stables, indoor arena, riding grounds, watchtower and museum.
Perhaps the highlight of your visit is the ride into the fields aboard an open tractor for a close-up look at some of Andalusia's handsome and powerful bulls.
Afterward, reboard your motor coach and travel to Jerez de la Frontera, where you will descend into a typical Spanish wine cellar and learn the secrets of crafting fine sherry. Of course, there will be ample opportunity to test your palate on several varieties and decide for yourself which sherry you prefer. Delicious tapas will also be on hand for the perfect wine tasting experience.
Having enjoyed a rare taste of Andalusia, return to your ship.
Please note: As this excursion involves walking over uneven terrain, it is not recommended for guests with walking difficulties. It is recommended that guests dress in casual clothing and wear flat, comfortable shoes. The order of sights visited may vary.
