This truly special half-day tour is perfect for those who want to experience the succulent wines of Provence while taking in the idyllic ambiance of the French countryside.
Leaving Cannes behind, you will drive through the beautiful Esterel Massif, enjoying the beauty of the passing scenery. After approximately 45 minutes, you will reach your destination, La Maison des Vins (the House of Wines) which is located in Les Arcs, a location which some claim is the capital of the Côte de Provence wines.
During your visit, the English-speaking Oenologist will give you a course of initiation into the wine-making process and tell you all about the Côte de Provence wines: their history, the vineyards, the various varieties and their individual characteristics. Following your introduction to the wines, you will be treated to a sampling of two of the local varieties.
When your time at La Maison de Vins comes to a close, you will re-board your coach and start making your way back to Cannes. Along the way, you will pass by the district's most celebrated vineyards and a short stop will be made at the charming Le Domaine de Saint Martin.
Please note: There is approximately 30 minutes of walking on this tour that includes some uneven surfaces at the winery and steps at St. Martin. The tour is not available to wheelchair guests and those with mobility concerns are cautioned to evaluate their personal level of stamina and ability. Flat, comfortable walking shoes, a hat, sunglasses and sunscreen are suggested. There are public restrooms at La Maison des Vins and Domain de Saint Martin.
