This tour is geared for those who prefer to explore on their own and allows you maximum flexibility while discovering the amazing districts of Monaco and Monte Carlo.
Your coach will transfer you from the pier to the drop-off location in Monaco where you will be given a map of the area before setting off on your own. Perhaps you would like to make your way to the opulent Prince's Palace and Palace Square to see the Changing of the Guards (11:55 a.m. sharp) or head to the Oceanographic Museum Aquarium or Monaco Cathedral. There are plenty of exclusive shops to browse in as well and the choice of what to do is plentiful and entirely yours.
At the appointed meeting time and place, you will re-join your coach and travel to Monte Carlo (Please note there will only be one complimentary departure). Arriving in Monte Carlo, you will want to be sure to take a stroll along the Place du Casino with its many fashionable shops and admire the fabulous yachts in the picturesque harbor. Of course, you may also want to visit the famous Casino and try your hand at lady luck. Other attractions worth a visit include the Church of Saint Charles, the Japanese Garden and the National Museum. Your coach stands ready to transfer you back to the pier at the designated meeting time and place.
Those guests who fail to be on time for the coach transfers will be responsible for making their own way back to the ship at their own expense.
Please note: There is a considerable walk to and from the coach drop-off/pick-up points and although any additional walking is mainly at the guest's discretion, this tour is not considered suitable for wheelchair guests or those with mobility concerns. Guests must take an escalator and/or elevator from the parking area at the Rock of Monaco. Conservative attire is required when visiting any cathedrals or casinos and shoulders and knees must be covered. No short pants, shorts or tank tops are permitted. Flat, comfortable walking shoes, a hat, sunglasses and sunscreen are suggested. The Casino opens at 2:00 p.m. and no one under the age of 18 is allowed inside. A passport is required to enter the Casino.
