Experience some of Mallorca's dramatic scenery on this tour that travels to nearby Soller and includes a vintage train ride.
From the pier in Palma, it's a one-hour drive to Soller, a peaceful and picturesque town nestled in the foot of the mountains. Its location in the lush Sierra de Tramutana Valley, makes it a popular spot for people to enjoy beautiful scenery and refreshingly cool mountain air. Soller has long been a popular summer retreat for writers and artists who are attracted by its tranquil setting, favorable light, and the laid-back way of life. Upon arrival, you'll have a guided tour of the town center and then some free time to explore on your own or do some shopping.
Next, you'll enjoy a ride of around fifty minutes on the famous Palma-Soller train, an old fashioned electric train that has preserved its traditional character for the past eighty years. Your memorable ride travels through lovely countryside, making its way through orange and olive groves, almond and locust-bean trees, lush villages and pine-covered mountains. Afterwards, you'll rejoin your coach and transfer back to the cruise ship pier.
