POST - 1NT IGUAZU FALLS

POST - 1NT IGUAZU FALLS

NOTE: International departure flights should be booked to depart at least after 6:00pm from Buenos Aires on February 24th.

Experience the extraordinary natural beauty and wildlife of South America during this memorable journey to Iguazú Falls ~ one of the great natural wonders of the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The Iguazú River Delta is located in the center of a sub-tropical forest spanning 457,000 acres, and possesses unique characteristics that have made it an important economic and ecological reserve for its neighboring countries. On this overland adventure you will visit the northeastern section of Argentina - an area that is inhabited by over 400 different varieties of birds and marks one of the most beautiful landscapes of the world.

80m high and 3km wide, the Iguazú Falls span the border between Argentina and Brazil and is made up of many cascades that generate vast sprays of water producing one of the most spectacular waterfalls known to mankind.

DAY 1

Disembark the ship and transfer to the Domestic Airport to board your flight to Iguazú.

*We recommend you pack one light overnight bag per person. Allowance: one checked bag per person maximum 15 kg/33lbs and one carry on per person maximum 5kg/11lbs. Any excess luggage will be stored at the airport where you will receive it upon your return.

Upon arrival, you will be met by your local guide and then transferred to Iguazú Falls National Park. A buffet lunch will be served at La Selva Restaurant shortly after your arrival.

Following lunch, enjoy a motorized boat cruise (zodiacs) which allows you to view the falls from water level and get close enough to feel the spray and energy created by this great mass of falling water. Please note that you will get wet on the zodiacs. Along the way, your guide will explain all about the trees, birds, falls and more. Note: the zodiac loading area is not accessible to wheelchairs. There are approximately 100 steps down / up to reach the boats with no ramps. The zodiac tour is optional and any guests wishing to remain ashore can do so. There are shaded areas and benches to sit on throughout the park.

The name Iguazú means Great Waters in Guarani. This natural wonder is taller and twice as wide than Niagara Falls and combines 275 falls in a massive, magnificent cascade stretching for nearly 1.7 miles. Situated on the border between Argentina and Brazil, its waters pass over lush, sub-tropical greenery. One of the most breathtaking sights you may see during your tour is the fluttering of more than 700 species of butterflies that make this area their home.

After the zodiac tour, check-in at your hotel and enjoy some free time to relax before dinner.

Overnight in Iguazú

DAY 2

After breakfast at the hotel, check out & transfer by bus to Iguazú National Park to visit the impressive Garganta del Diablo (Devil's Throat), where the Iguazú River crashes down almost 80 metres forming many rainbows. You will reach this fantastic sight via a unique train ride - the Eco-Train - which travels on a 1000-meter footbridge from the train station to the Garganta del Diablo. You will end your visit with a moderate walk through one of the circuits of the National Park on the Argentine Side. Along the way traverse over catwalks and view the observatories. A box lunch will be provided before your transfer to the Iguazú Airport. Upon arrival in Buenos Aires you will be re-united with any luggage that was stored.

NOTE: International departure flights must depart AFTER 6:00pm on this day. Additional nights at the Sheraton Buenos Aires can be purchased through the cruise line and will include a transfer to the hotel after the program and then to the airport on the day of your flight.

Guests booking their own flights (independent of the cruise line) are responsible for ensuring that the cruise line has the most current and updated departure information. Should you book any additional nights independently of the cruise line, transfers are not provided.

POST - IGUAZU FALLS EXPERIENCE

POST - IGUAZU FALLS EXPERIENCE

Experience the extraordinary natural beauty and wildlife of South America during this memorable journey to Iguazú Falls ~ one of the great natural wonders of the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The Iguazú River Delta is located in the center of a sub-tropical forest spanning 457,000 acres, and possesses unique characteristics that have made it an important economic and ecological reserve for its neighboring countries. On this post cruise adventure you will visit the northeastern section of Argentina - an area that is inhabited by over 400 different varieties of birds and marks one of the most beautiful landscapes of the world.

Any excess luggage will be stored at the hotel in Buenos Aires where you will receive it upon your return.

After the zodiac tour, check-in at your hotel and enjoy some free time to relax before dinner at the hotel.
