Our Site also contains links to third party sites that are not owned or controlled by Regent. Please be aware that we are not responsible for the privacy practices of such other sites. To Provide Products, Services, and Information. As described above, we collect information from you so that we can provide you with the information and services that you request from us. We may send you information about our products and services, and new offerings.

We provide information to our affiliated companies (owned or controlled by our parent company, Prestige Cruise Holdings, Inc.) and third party service providers that help us process orders, and fulfill services that you purchase from us. For example, we contract with other companies to help provide our cruise services. For example, when you reserve a cruise through an affiliated travel agent, that travel agent - who is not an employee of Regent - will need to share your booking information with us in order to reserve your voyage. We contract with other companies to provide services on our ship and at ports of call. For example, if you pay for a cruise using a credit card, we will authorize that payment through a third party. An outside telephone company also provides the telephone network we use to transmit information between our buildings and systems. We will use other companies to prepare and send surface mail and e-mail to customers.

We may use affiliates or third parties to help host our Site, send out email updates about the Site, provide marketing and advertising services for us, and remove repetitive information from our user lists. These service providers will have access to your personal information in order to provide these services, but when this occurs we implement reasonable contractual and technical protections to limit their use of that information to helping us provide the service. We use demographic information to better understand our customers, to provide you with relevant information of interest to you, and to improve our products and services.

When you use our "Find a Travel Agent" service or request to be contacted by one of our preferred travel agents, we will share you information with one or more of our travel agents so they can contact you. 5. CALIFORNIA PRIVACY RIGHTS
Under California's "Shine the Light" law, California residents who provide personal information in obtaining products or services for personal, family or household use are entitled to request and obtain from us once a calendar year information about the customer information we shared, if any, with other businesses for their own direct marketing uses. If applicable, this information would include the categories of customer information and the names and addresses of those businesses with which we shared customer information for the immediately prior calendar year (e.g. requests made in 2012 will receive information regarding 2011 sharing activities). As a global company, our operations cross national boundaries by necessity. We maintain our central data operations in North America. If you reserve your cruise through an agent in Europe, for example, your transaction will be processed by our computers in the U.S. If you call from the U.S. to make a reservation, your call may be taken by an operator in the U.K. In these cases, we will ensure that all of our locations are protecting your information to the same appropriate level of security and in a manner consistent with this Policy.
