This tour affords you a full day to spend exploring the greener side of Australia, accompanied by expert guides. During your tour, you will view waterfalls cascading into cool mountain streams while driving through mountainside forests along secluded 4WD tracks.
Your 4WD vehicle will be waiting at the pier and soon you will be on your way to the rural shire of Beaudesert to embark on an off-road adventure following an original bush track built by pioneers. Native wildlife, including koala, kangaroos and reptiles are often seen while traversing these trails.
After a morning break served at one of the attractive picnic areas in the National Park, you'll enjoy a guided walk through the rainforest before being given time to stroll along Gallery Walk. Known as the artistic center of Tamborine Mountain, this utterly charming enclave has many galleries dedicated to local arts and crafts as well as cafés and stalls offering confectionary delights. If you are looking for a special gift or something unique to take home as a memento, you'll no doubt find it here in one of the colorful shops.
The next stop along your route will be at the country hideaway Quamby. Here, tucked away in the Aussie bush beside a crystal clear creek, you'll get to experience true old-fashioned hospitality while partaking in a traditional Aussie barbecue lunch that includes local beer, Australian wines, soft drinks, tea and coffee. Enjoy this rest period while being entertained with a whip-cracking demonstration and boomerang throwing. On a hot summer's day, the nearby cool waters and rock pools provide a welcome opportunity for a refreshing swim so you may want to bring along a swimsuit.
Your afternoon program also includes a visit to a local winery for a tasting of fine Australian wines before heading back to the ship. Arriving back in Brisbane, you will be given a brief city sights tour before being returned to the pier.
