Travelling by coach, you'll first visit Barilla Bay Oysters, where expert guides will take you on a tour designed to showcase the growing process of farmed oysters. Here, you will learn how oysters begin life as a tiny grain and grow to full maturity and the important role that tides, weather and the environment play in their development. You will even learn how oysters are packaged to ensure that they are at their peak of freshness when served up in restaurants around Australia and the world. At the conclusion of this extremely informative tour, you'll be invited to taste two oysters and savour their freshness for yourself.
Next, you will proceed to a well-known local winery, Puddle Duck Winery, for a wine tasting and informative commentary. Upon arrival, you will find yourself immersed in the sensory delights of Tasmania's wine country.
From here, you will continue on to Hobart for a brief orientation tour of the city. You will enjoy panoramic views from Rosny Point Lookout before returning to the pier and ship.
