Experience the extraordinary natural beauty and wildlife of South America during this memorable journey to Iguazú Falls ~ one of the great natural wonders of the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The Iguazú River Delta is located in the center of a sub-tropical forest spanning 457,000 acres, and possesses unique characteristics that have made it an important economic and ecological reserve for its neighboring countries. On this pre cruise adventure you will visit the northeastern section of Argentina - an area that is inhabited by over 400 different varieties of birds and marks one of the most beautiful landscapes of the world.

80m high and 3km wide, the Iguazú Falls span the border between Argentina and Brazil and is made up of many cascades that generate vast sprays of water producing one of the most spectacular waterfalls known to mankind.

Day 2

Following breakfast at the hotel, transfer to the Rio De Janeiro Airport for your 2 hour flight to Iguazú. Snacks and refreshments will be served en route.

*We recommend you pack one light overnight bag per person. Allowance: one checked bag per person maximum 15 kg/33lbs and one carry on per person maximum 5kg/11lbs. Any excess luggage will be stored at the hotel in Rio de Janeiro where you will receive it upon your return.

Upon arrival, you will be met by your local guide and then transferred to Brazil's Falls National Park where lunch will be served at Porto Canoas Restaurant.

Following lunch you will check in at the Das Cataratas Hotel located next to the Falls.

In the afternoon you will meet your guide in the lobby and you will head out on a one and a half hour introductory walking tour through the enchanted park at Iguazú Falls. Along the way, your guide will explain all about the trees, birds, the falls and more. Next, embark on a motorized jungle riverboat (zodiacs) for a ride which combined with a jeep tour through the National Park, allows you to view the falls from water level and get close enough to feel the spray and energy created by this great mass of falling water. Please note that you will get wet on the zodiacs. Note: There are approximately 8 steps down / up to reach the boats with no ramps. The zodiac tour is optional and any guests wishing to remain ashore can do so. There are shaded areas and benches to sit on throughout the park.

The name Iguazú means Great Waters in Guarani. This natural wonder is taller and twice as wide than Niagara Falls and combines 275 falls in a massive, magnificent cascade stretching for nearly 1.7 miles. Situated on the border between Argentina and Brazil, its waters pass over lush, sub-tropical greenery. One of the most breathtaking sights you may see during your tour is the fluttering of more than 700 species of butterflies that make this area their home.

After the boat tour, head back to your hotel and enjoy some free time to relax before dinner.

Overnight at Das Cataratas or similar hotel.

After breakfast at the hotel, check out & transfer by bus to the Argentine side of Iguazú Falls. Along the way a stop will be made to clear customs. You will definitely hear the thunder of the rushing water and feel the spray of the Falls. On your return to the Brazilian side, a stop will be made for lunch at the El Fortin Restaurant.

After lunch you will be transferred to the airport for the return flight to Rio de Janeiro. Snacks and refreshments will be served on the plane. Upon arrival in Rio de Janeiro, you will be met and transferred back to the Windsor Atlantica Hotel for your overnight stay.
