MAJESTIC HOTEL ROME, ITALY
Created in 1889 by the architect Gaetano Koch on the exclusive Via Veneto, the Hotel Majestic Roma was a grande dame from the beginning, with a Carrara-Marble lobby, a ballroom with a fresco ceiling that could hold 120 people and all you would expect of downtown's premier hotel. The Majestic Roma is a veritable jewel of neoclassic elegance, within walking distance from the Borghese Art Gallery and Gardens and the heart of the city shopping district, Spanish Steps and Via Condotti where all the major houses of fashion have their ateliers. Its 98 rooms share an understated elegance that manages to deliver the sophistication one expect.
