Oceania Cruises Named Best Ship Refurbishment and Best Dining in 2014 by Cruise Critic Editors

MIAMI, Fla – (Nov. 18, 2014) – Oceania Cruises was recognized with Best Ship Refurbishment (Regatta, Insignia and Nautica) and Best Dining accolades by Cruise Critic with their annual Editors’ Picks Awards.  This is the third year in a row that Oceania Cruises has been acknowledged with the Best Dining award.  The Editors' Picks Awards are based upon the lines and ships that Cruise Critic’s international team of editors feel best represent excellence in each category.

“It’s a great honor to be recognized for three consecutive years with the Best Dining award as serving the finest cuisine at sea is definitely a point of distinction for Oceania Cruises,” said Kunal S. Kamlani president of Oceania Cruises.  “We’re thrilled Cruise Critic took note of the refurbishment effort we undertook with Regatta, Insignia and Nautica.  As a leader in the upper-premium category, we wanted to ensure our guests received the same upscale cruise experience and exceptional value no matter which Oceania Cruises ship they sail, and with this recognition it’s safe to say we achieved our objective.”

Cruise Critic is the leading cruise reviews and information site hosting the largest cruise community in the world.  More than three million people, from first-time cruisers to avid cruise fans, visit Cruise Critic each month to research and plan their cruises, connect with other cruisers and share their passion for cruising.  No other single resource covers the world of cruising as thoroughly as Cruise Critic.  Since its inception in 1995, Cruise Critic has earned the status of being the most influential cruise site on the Web, and an innovator of consumer-oriented cruise travel news.

Below are comments from the Editors of Cruise Critic about both awards received by Oceania Cruises:

Best Ship Refurbishment: Oceania Cruises
“Three of the loveliest ships afloat, even before 2014's $50 million refurbishment, Oceania's 684-passenger trio of Regatta, Insignia and Nautica reflect the contemporary ambience of Marina and Riviera, the fleet's newer siblings,” shared the Editors of Cruise Critic.  “Our favorite aspects?  The luxe makeovers of cabins, from new mattresses to splendidly redesigned suites, the French Riviera-inspired pool deck revamp and the addition of Barista's coffee bar.”

Best Dining: Oceania Cruises
“Variety abounds when it comes to dining on Oceania's ships, which feature world-class gourmet options with an open-seating scenario in its main dining rooms,” noted the Editors of Cruise Critic.  “Where the ships really shine, though, is with their included alternative restaurants: Asian Red Ginger and French Jacques, named for the line's famous executive culinary director, Jacques Pepin.”
