Oceania Cruises Unveils Enhanced Entertainment Options for Soon-to-Launch Ship, Sirena

MIAMI, Fla. – April 21, 2016 – Oceania Cruises is making a significant investment to upgrade its shipboard entertainment offerings fleet-wide beginning with Sirena, the newest ship, launching later this month. Each ship will feature a full slate of spectacular new stage shows which will be implemented during upcoming dry docks.

To deliver this new entertainment line-up, Oceania Cruises is leveraging the talented and award-wining entertainment team at Norwegian Cruise Line to help develop a full range of world-class musical, theatrical and comedic productions for the fleet. Oceania Cruises anticipates every ship in its fleet will feature the enhanced entertainment offerings by spring of 2017.

“Oceania Cruises currently offers the finest cuisine at sea, best-in-class accommodations and award-winning itineraries. What we wanted to provide next for our guests was truly world-class entertainment,” said Jason Montague, president and chief operating officer for Oceania Cruises.

“We are fortunate to be able to utilize the talented entertainment team at Norwegian to enhance the quality and diversity of shows offered on our ships,” Montague added. “Both the level of production and caliber of talent performing on our ships far exceed what we’ve been able to previously offer. I’m confident our guests will be pleasantly surprised the next time they visit our theater onboard.”

Beginning with its April 27, 2016 maiden voyage, Sirena will feature four distinct musical spectaculars, featuring accomplished singers and dancers from around the globe and accompanied by a live five-piece show band. The line-up of productions includes:

  • Tuxedo - A fresh take on the music of the Rat Pack, the Great American Songbook and the music of legends such as Tony Bennett, Natalie Cole and many more. Tuxedo features a full nine-piece orchestra performing music that’s cool, sexy and smooth, serving as the perfect nightcap for guests.
  • Cabaret Cinema - A new and artful rendition of the songs and music of the movies, Cabaret Cinema features a musical reinvention of memorable songs from the silver screen, including classic movie themes, pop hits and Academy Award showstoppers.
  • Acoustic Sessions - An “unplugged” acoustic-style live-band in a 360° arena-style setting, Acoustic Sessions presents the most recognizable pop music of the last four decades in an immersive musical experience.
  • Get On the Floor and Dance - A tribute to the music of dance featuring iconic hits from artists like Gloria Estefan and Michael Bublé. Get on the Floor and Dance is brought to life through stunning choreography that is fresh, irresistible and sultry.

The shows will be performed on various evenings throughout the voyage, and timed to be a perfect after-dinner activity before guests enjoy a nightcap at one of the lounges.

The new entertainment offerings debuting on Sirena are not the only new feature on this stunning 684-guest vessel. When the ship sets sail, it will also feature two new specialty restaurants, a brand new concept restaurant called Tuscan Steak and the beloved guest favorite from Marina and Riviera, Red Ginger. Also debuting on Sirena is Jacques Bistro, a new gourmet lunch experience in the Grand Dining Room featuring some of legendary chef Jacques Pépin’s signature dishes.

In addition, Sirena’s most prestigious accommodations -- the Owner’s and Vista Suites - will debut with an elegant new design that features a crisp and modern motif. The line will also introduce a new collection of scented Bvlgari bath amenities exclusively available to guests booked at the Concierge Level or above.
