SYDNEY REVEALED

Take in the vibrant energy of the dynamic city of Sydney and the magnificent beauty of it’s outer regions on this unforgettable exploration. During a harbor cruise, discover magnificent waterfront mansions, and enjoy unparalleled views of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the spectacular city skyline and then travel into the gorgeous Blue Mountains and ride a train through the ancient forests and valleys.

DAY 1

After flying into Sydney, you will be met and transferred to your hotel, where you will spend the next three evenings. The remainder of the day will be at your leisure, allowing you to do whatever you wish. You might settle in at the hotel or consult with the hospitality desk for suggestions on what to see nearby. Any meals will be on your own.

DAY 2

After breakfast at you hotel you are met by your guide at your hotel. Walk to Circular Quay and depart on a fantastic boat cruise of the harbor. Discover who lives in the magnificent mansions along the water and see the recreational parks and beaches that are frequented by the locals. You will also pass by the well-known Taronga Park Zoo and Watson's Bay, where the much celebrated Doyle's Restaurant faces toward the spectacular city skyline. There really is no better vantage point from which to photograph the city, the Opera House and the Sydney Harbor Bridge, than from the water. Morning tea will be served while you are on board. Returning back to Circular Quay, you will then walk back to your hotel or head into the city center for your own exploration. The remainder of the day is at your leisure. Lunch and dinner are on your own.

NOTE: the harbor cruise is non-exclusive

DAY 3

Following breakfast at the hotel, you will drive west into the Blue Mountains, a magnificent natural paradise dominated by eucalyptus forests, sandstone cliffs, canyons and waterfalls. Because of the varying landscape and biodiversity, the Blue Mountains have been designated a World Heritage Site.

As you will see at the Three Sisters, the geological formations are stunning. According to Aboriginal legend, the three weathered sandstone pillars were sisters who fell in love with three brothers from another tribe. Because tribal laws forbid the marriages, the sisters were turned into stone to protect them and prevent a war between the tribes.

Another perspective of the Blue Mountains awaits you from aboard a glass-roofed red carriage on the Scenic Railway. As the train chugs along, you will enjoy expansive, ever-changing views of the ancient rain forest and gorgeous Jamison Valley.

You will have the choice of several different train rides. Choose an adventurous ‘Cliffhanger’ ride at a steep 64 degree incline, or for those seeking a relaxed journey select the ‘Laid Back’ option. Of course, loyal fans can still ride the ‘Original’ at 52 degrees. It’s your choice, all depending on your tolerance for excitement.

Afterwards, you will have free time to meander through the forest or to simply relax and take in the natural beauty.

While driving back towards Sydney, a stop will be made in Leura, a pretty little town and suburb of the Blue Mountains, for some free time to wander the quaint shops and galleries or to grab a bite to eat. Once you are back in Sydney the remainder of the day is at your leisure and dinner is on your own.

After a bit of free time in the area, you will stop for a leisurely lunch and then continue touring. One of the highlights will be the Australian War Memorial, which commemorates those Australians that have died in war. Standing in the shadow of the Parliament House, it opened in 1941 and features a collection of photographs, war records and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

Day 1

After disembarking the ship, you will begin touring Sydney, Australia’s largest city. It’s wonderfully cosmopolitan, extraordinarily beautiful and full of attractions.

Still, the highlight is the Sydney Opera House, an icon shaped like billowing sails. The opera house is so culturally and architecturally important that UNESCO has recognized it as a World Heritage Site.

Opened on the harbor in 1973, the Sydney Opera House is a masterpiece of design inside and out. While touring the interior, you will learn about the building’s ingenious design and superb acoustics.

Then, it’s on to the North Bondi RSL Club. It’s an ideal setting for lunch, as the club overlooks famed Bondi Beach, a golden crescent of sand rimmed by turquoise waters.

More free time follows, after which you will return to the hotel. The evening will be at your leisure with dinner on your own.

Day 3

Following breakfast at your hotel and check out, begin the drive back to Sydney. Along the way stop to stretch your legs and enjoy a delightful morning tea in a quaint town en route. POST - SYDNEY AND BEYOND

See the urban highlights in and around Sydney, including the iconic Sydney Opera House, and then travel into the gorgeous Blue Mountains and ride a train through the ancient forests and valleys.

Day 1

After disembarkation from the ship you will board a vessel and begin a leisurely cruise around the harbor. Along the way, you will pass landmarks such as the Sydney Opera House and the Sydney Harbor Bridge, which is affectionately known as “The Coathanger” because of its arched steel design. Other sights include the Taronga Zoo and Sydney Harbor National Park.

Upon arriving in the suburb of Manly, you will enjoy free time to explore. A spectacular beach rims Manly, which is known for its laid-back attitude and inviting downtown, which is full of boutiques and restaurants. You might browse the shops or dine al fresco on fresh seafood, which is always a good choice because Manly overlooks the Pacific Ocean.

The return drive to Sydney will take you through the Northern Beaches. Although not far from Sydney’s vibrant downtown, the Northern Beaches seem like worlds away. The villages are wonderfully casual, naturally beautiful and outdoor activities are abundant.

Upon arriving at your hotel, the rest of the evening will be at your leisure with dinner on your own.

Day 2

Then, following lunch on your own, you will return to the Four Seasons hotel in Sydney. The remainder of the day will be at leisure to enjoy as you please with dinner on your own.

Day 3

Following breakfast at the hotel, the remainder of the day will be at your leisure, allowing you to do whatever you wish. You may wish to consult with the hospitality desk for suggestions on what to see nearby. Lunch and dinner will be on your own.

Day 4

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before checking out. Check out time is at 11:00am. Your transfer to the airport will be based on the flight details provided. Should you have late flight, luggage storage is available at the hotel.
